Cover Letter for Editorial Internship

A Sample Cover Letter for an Editorial Internship for a magazine.

Dear Miss Priestly,

I am student at the Milan Fashion Institute, beginning my senior year. My area of concentration in my major is fashion styling and photography.

Magazine publishing has been of interest to me ever since I read Visage magazine's take on Fashion and Fairtrade which was published 3 years ago. Since then I have avidly followed each issue- your key fashion editorials for the season being the most inspiring. I believe Visage is one of the leading and highly respected magazines in the industry and I would like to experience being a part of it.

I am especially interested in your Editorial Internship programme for the magazine production cycle of February to April. I have exceptional writing and editing skills with experience in fact-checking and copyediting articles. I am proficient with computer programs as I can do internet research and social networking online. I am energetic, diligent and enthusiastic. Attached are my writing samples and my references for your review.

I will contact your office in a week to confirm your receipt of my application.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Louise

Coverletter for Intern

Students looking into applying for an internship, may find this very useful- a cover letter for an Intern.

Dear Miss Flamenco:

While at the Office of Career Services at the University of Marsdale, I discovered that your firm is offering internships to students interested in pre-law. My background makes me a superior candidate for this position.

My father is a lawyer, and I have worked in his office for many years. I have also assisted him in various duties such as organizing meetings and schedules for his clients. I also handled tasks such as filing and recording documents. Needless to say, this responsibility required a variety of interpersonal and administrative skills.

I can also offer strong research, analytical, and computer skills. I have written papers for my college courses and have maintained an above grade point average. Although my computer experience is outlined in my resume, I would like to add that I am familiar with database management, web design and web development.

The skills I have acquired through my work experience and through my academic studies are the same skills you are looking for in an intern. I would like the chance to offer you these skills in return for the opportunity to learn more about the legal profession. I am confident that the few days I would spend with you as an intern would be highly rewarding for us both.

To discuss this possibility further, I will contact you early next month. You may alternatively reach me by phone at 555-500-4568. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Valeri

Cover Letter for Credit Intern

A sample coverletter for a credit and finance intern who is skilled in accounting and book keeping.

Dear Sir:

My solid academic background, work ethic, and keen attention to detail will make me an excellent addition to your staff as a Credit intern. As an accounting student at Drexel University, I am seeking an internship with Hollis Bank so that I may apply my skills and abilities to benefit your bank.

My educational experiences will benefit your institution in a number of ways. I have studied managerial accounting, financial accounting, governmental accounting, federal taxation, and managerial finance. By taking these courses, I have been trained to think analytically and to use computers to aid in analyzing the liquidity and credit-worthiness of a client using financial statements and ratios.

In addition to my strong background in accounting and information systems, I possess many practical skills. I am well versed in formal office procedures, including typing, word processing, and database management.

Finally, I would like to emphasize that I am not only looking for experience this summer, but also for the opportunity to bring my skills and talents to the internship. I will call you early next week to set up an appointment.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Leslie Simms

Cover Letter for Magazine Internship

Fresh out of school and looking for an internship in a magazine? Here's a cover letter for an intern:

Dear Miss Mabel:

Your new marketing assistant, Purita Jones, mentioned that you might be looking for interns this summer. I am prepared to bring an unusual level of energy, dedication, and hard work to such internship.

I have worked as a wedding planner's assistant during school breaks for the past four years, successfully juggling customer service, events and administrative functions.

This work background is an excellent complement to my solid liberal arts education. As a fast learner with internet and computer skills, I have a keen desire to serve your clients, this is in line with my general interest in the fashion industry.

Can we pursue this possibility further? I will call within two weeks to verify that you received my resume, answer any preliminary questions you may have, and arrange an appointment to talk about internship. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss how I can serve Fashionista Magazine this summer.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Abby Michaels

Cover Letter for Summer Internships

Here is a sample letter of intent and cover letter for a coveted summer internship at an investment firm.

Dear Dr. Nussbaum:

I am responding to the announcement posted at the Bonne Business school of Economics concerning openings for internships at the multinational company, Goldin Mays. I would like to be considered for one of these internships.

I understand that six full-time internships are available at your headquarters for the summer of 2012. You may note from my enclosed resume that I have a major in international business. Because I would like to work in the international business field when I graduate in 2012, I would like to have the opportunity to work for the world’s leading investment firm.

I know that my background, education, and experience will make an excellent intern for Goldin Mays. I am familiar with international business trade as I have worked as an assistant to a Penny Stock Trader at the Financial Markets Association during their exchange student programme.

I understand that you will be visiting the Bonne Business school at the first week in April, and I would be pleased to meet you for an interview. I will contact you next week to schedule an appointment.

Thank you very much

Best Regards,
Bernard Lawrence
